I hadn't gotten much into the Lego Creator Expert series before I bought this, but holy cow am I a huge fan of the series now that I built this. This is an amazingly detailed model and so satisfying to build as an adult.

So, I picked up the Ford Mustang (model number 10265) and built it a couple of weekends ago. Man has Lego come far. Below are some of my observations/thoughts about this set and lego as a whole given my absence from the hobby for so many years.

I'll start by saying - The packaging is fantastic. The kit comes separated into several bags, and everything within is set only for that part of the project. Pre-sort your materials before beginning assembly - thank me later! The interior is fabulous, and I found it more amusing than most, because my '17 Mustang has a beige interior (but RED exterior!).

Lots of attention to detail, very nice curves, final build is beautiful and replicates original car exceptionally well. It's my favourite amongst my lego cars. Get it before it retires if you like Lego or cars or both.

The scale of this set allows for a lot of detail. Assembly is easy enough for a novice adult builder to complete it. I bought the lighting kit for it and wow, does it wake the pony up beautifully! The roof is a little bit flimsy so you have to be careful when you're moving the car around but it's otherwise a very good set.
